Spinner was born in Detroit to a WEB (Spider sept) of freedom fighters/ hackers. These were wiped out by a Pentax- supported mixed pack of Hatar and Black Spirals while Spinner was out "on assignment". He returned to find his family and friends wiped out, and the fact that the Hatar knew that one of the web survived. Taking all that wasn't nailed down or smashed, he fled to New York.
After successfully claiming the inheritance from the web's lawyers (through electronic conferencing), he discovered that he had come into a large sum of money with which to begin again. With little more than pure innate talent, Spinner found himself free-lancing for the Sunbeam Foundation (the Corax-owned information brokers) as an agent and a computer consultant/hacker. This job opened up doors and venues he hadn't dreamed of after living in squalor in the Motor City. He became flamboyant and rakish in attitude, until his fast life led the Hatar right to him.
He has since gone underground, taking no chances. He continues to work for the Foundation, but on a smaller scale, and keeping closer to more secretive groups like the vampires and mages.
RolePlaying Notes: Spinner is a poltroon. He seeks to live another
day. He plays a dangerous game however; toying with very
powerful beings, and stripping them of vital information.
He has taken an interest in chronicling the history of the
Weaver, and has started to look for other were-insects.
He has developed a kind of masquerade of his own to
protect his identity. When confronted by a something he
chooses to play on their egos, for example:
vampire- "I'm just a ghoul, see. My master is out of town
right now, but he _is_ an elder you know. Has been
known to be heard with royal ears, if you catch my
drift."
werewolf- "Back off man, take it easy. I'm just Glass
Walker kin, all right. The tattoo? My gang's old
symbol. Hey man, I'm tellin' the truth here!
Okay, okay, the Walker, you see, he gave me to
this aztec injun, I think he said he was a great
Crescent Moon of the ... of the ..., aw, you
know, those water spirit things, oh yeah, the
Uktena. Anyway that guy spooked me out, but they
were both Garou right, and I'm kin, so anyways
this Aztec put the tattoo on me, I don't know
what it is or does, I'm not Garou, nobody tells me
these things."
mages- "I'm just a failed aprentice, trying to help my
friends as an alcolyte. How'd I fail, they say it
was something I ate, no man, I'm serious, some
progenitor virus or something. Messed up my
soul, avatar, whatever. So now I've got none,
they seemed kind of, you know, sad about it.
They said I just couldn't see things the way they
did. But they did keep me around to help them, so
maybe I can win this war for them- to pay them
back."
Sorry this one a little long, but the quotes are too good to pass up. In our rules, rank defines the max. bloodpool and number of blood points per round a werespider can use.
